WORKSHOP: ASTHMA &
SELF-HEALING TECHNIQUES*
This workshop addresses the symptoms
suffered by asthmatics:
- Shortness of breath
- Fatigue associated with shallow breathing
- Coughing/wheezing
- Chest tightness that lasts minutes, hours, or
sometimes days

You will learn:
- The importance of relaxation and full breath
from a physiological understanding; the lung/heart connection
- Self-massage and heat applications to assist
relaxation of the muscles of the chest, stomach, and neck
- Stretches to counteract the patterns of
contractions involved in coughing/wheezing and constricted breathing
- Breathing exercises to increase oxygen intake
in order to have more energy between attacks of asthma
- Why nose-breathing is more beneficial than
mouth-breathing and simple ways to break the pattern of mouth-breathing
- Environmental considerations for more
awareness of what possible triggers you can avoid or eliminate

this workshop are intended to increase your mobility, your breathe, and
your awareness, and are not intended to replace your medical program.
